Topbento wants everyone to be able to read our menu, see what we cook and get in touch about catering, whatever technology they use to browse the web.

Standard We Aim For

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with visual, hearing, cognitive, motor and other disabilities.

What We Have Done

  • Pages use semantic HTML landmarks so screen readers can navigate by heading, region and list.
  • Every photograph has descriptive alternative text, and headings follow a logical order on each page.
  • Text and interface colours are chosen to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios.
  • The whole site can be operated with a keyboard, and focus is always visible.
  • A "skip to main content" link appears as the first item when you start tabbing.
  • Form fields have labels that are properly associated with their inputs.
  • Layouts reflow for small screens and remain usable when text is zoomed to 200%.
  • Motion is limited, and animation is switched off for visitors whose system requests reduced motion.
  • Information is never conveyed by colour alone.
  • Content is readable without JavaScript enabled.
  • An accessibility button in the bottom corner of every page lets you enlarge the text, turn on a high-contrast view and underline every link; your choice is remembered on your next visit.

Language

The site is published in English and Chinese. Use the language button in the header to switch between them; the page language is updated for assistive technology when you do.

Known Limitations

  • The catering enquiry form is supplied by a third-party provider, so parts of its behaviour are outside our direct control. If you have trouble with it, please call or email us instead and we will take your details that way.
  • Some dish names appear in Chinese characters within the English view because they are the names of the dishes themselves.
